Wole Akinleye is the Deputy Managing Director of Wema Bank Plc, a role he assumed in January 2023. Prior to his current role, he was an Executive Director of the Bank from December 2014 to December 2022. He is a seasoned banker with 34 years of experience covering virtually all aspects of commercial banking – Executive Management, Corporate & Investment Banking, Business Development, Credit Analysis, Risk Management and Branch Operations. Wole holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Accounting and Management – both from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU). He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and has attended senior leadership programmes at top global business schools such as Harvard Business School (Advanced Management Program) and Chicago Booth
Business School (Corporate Strategy). He is a member of the prestigious Ikoyi Club 1938 and is happily married to Pastor (Mrs) Oluyemisi Akinleye, with whom he shares the blessing of having three wonderful children.
